MIL-DTL-24695C(SH)
4.2.5.4 Adapter operation. The adapter outlet shall be pressurized to 310 bars (4,500 lb/in2) and torque
required to connect the hose assembly to the adapter shall be measured. The torque shall not exceed the limit
specified herein (see 3.5.3.2).
4.2.5.5 Burst pressure. Pressure shall be applied to the adapter at a rate not to exceed 1,725 bars (25,000 lb/in2)
per minute until 620 bars (9,000 lb/in2) burst pressure is obtained. The burst pressure shall be held for 2 minutes
without any sign of rupture or permanent deformation. The pressure may be further increased to determine the
actual burst pressure.
4.2.6 Non-metallic parts compatibility. Where specified herein (see 3.3.6 and 3.3.7), non-metallic parts shall
be verified for compatibility with hydraulic service fluids (see 3.3.1) by analysis or test. If verification is by test,
parts shall be immersed in each of the hydraulic service fluids for 7 days at ambient pressure and temperature.
Following immersion, parts shall be examined for evidence of swelling, shrinkage, or other material degradation that
would adversely affect performance or operability. Any evidence of adverse material degradation by examination or
subsequent performance or operability testing in the test fluid (see 4.2.2) shall be cause for rejection or
non-qualification.
4.3 Conformance inspection. Conformance inspection shall consist of the examination of 4.3.1.1 and the tests
of 4.3.1.2. Each valve, hose assembly, and adapter shall be subjected to conformance inspection, except that testing
of the hose assembly and dimensional inspection of the valve, hose assembly, and adapter may be accomplished by
a sample plan using table IV, based on the batch or the lot size. Non-compliance with conformance inspection
criteria shall result in rejection of the non-compliant product and a 100 percent inspection of the entire batch or a lot.

4.3.1 Examination and tests.
4.3.1.1 Examination.
4.3.1.1.1 Vent and test valves. Each vent and test valve shall be visually examined to determine conformance
to the applicable specification sheet and any other requirements of this specification not involving tests.
Dimensional examination shall be performed to determine conformance to the applicable specification sheet (see
4.3.1.1.2 Hose assembly. Each hose assembly shall be visually examined to determine conformance to the
applicable specification sheet and any other requirements of this specification not involving tests. Dimensional
examination shall be performed to determine conformance to the applicable specification sheet (see 4.3).
4.3.1.1.3 Adapters. Each adapter shall be visually examined to determine conformance to the applicable
specification sheet and any other requirement of this specification not involving tests. Dimensional examination
shall be performed to determine conformance to the applicable specification sheet (see 4.3).
